Whattup?

Dear subscribers of the Sounds Good podcast.

I know the frequency of episodes of this show has gone down drastically ever since I started working in post production audio for television. To add insult to injury, I can now tell you that from this week onwards I am the proud father of a beautiful little girl, Gloria. Mother and daughter are doing just fine, by the way. And in case you were wondering: yes, she sounds good!

A new episode of this podcast will be there some day sooner than later. Heck, I even have someone making custom music for it already! So please stay subscribed, and keep a patient eye on this feed. I’m sure you understand I’d rather give you the quality you’ve come to expect from the Sounds Good podcast than bore you with frivolous chit chat. I’ve had a surprising amount of positive emails about the Beatles episode, so thanks for that. And it also warms the very bottom of my heart that parts of this podcast are now used in UK university classes. I wouldn’t have dared to dream about this when I started out.

All the best,

Hens Zimmerman

Working on new episode #27

Hi there, listener/subscriber of the Sounds Good podcast! Our new episode will take a look at The Beatles and how their accomplishments can be an inspiration for us to sound better. So stay tuned, 60’s style, with your tube based clunky old radio, and there will an interesting new episode sooner than later!

New episode and more

Hi there,

Mark and I are currently recording the next episode, which has the wonderful number of 25. Meanwhile, I have upgraded WordPress to the latest version 2.6.5 2.7, many thanks to Derek K. Miller who pointed me to the possible problems that could arise and introduced me to the excellent automatic upgrade plugin for WordPress. I will also do a segment about Loopmasters for the Inside Home Recording podcast, which you really should subscribe to if you don’t already.

Later,

Hens Zimmerman

Protools 8 and new episode almost finished

Wow, a completely redesigned Protools 8 is finally announced! Both its graphical user interface and some of the new features bring it a lot closer to Logic Studio, we’d like to think.

Meanwhile, time permitting, the long awaited episode #24 of this podcast will go online during this next weekend. Thanks for your patience!

New episode is in the making

Dear subscribers of the Sounds Good podcast/blog,

Mark Abrams and I are working on episode #23 of Sounds Good, which will discuss various aspects of composing. The episode will be worth the wait and should be online some time later this month. If you really can’t wait and want to see some great Logic Studio tutorials, why not check out http://www.zoom-in.com ?

Meanwhile, we’ve upgraded WordPress to version 2.5.1 which doesn’t look much different for the subscriber or site visitor (that’s you), but certainly has changed a lot at the back end.

Have a super great day,

Hens Zimmerman
